Childrens Dentist Clinic in Martin near Gosnells

Along with regular brushing and flossing at home, regular professional dental check-ups are an important part of caring for your child’s dental health. That’s why at our dental clinic here in Martin (near Gosnells) we make sure your kids always feel comfortable when they visit.

Friendly, commutative atmosphere

A trip to the dentist can seem a little scary for little ones, so we make sure they feel welcomed and safe. We make sure there’s lots of fun thing for them to do if they should wait, and we never rush our appointment time – putting children at ease will always make them feel more relaxed. We take the time to chat with every child, and explain everything we do so – there’s no chance of second-guessing.

Your child’s first dental visit

We recommend you bring a child into the dentist after their first milk teeth have erupted. Even if there’s nothing much to do at this time (a proper scale & clean isn’t always the first task), it’s important that your child becomes acclimatised to the clinic and the dental experience to make life easier ahead.

Tips for your child’s first dental visit

  • Try to choose a time when your child will be well rested
  • Be positive about the experience and treat it as a fun outing
  • Refrain from appearing anxious or using words such as “brave”, “hurt”, or “drill”.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)

Some people may be eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. If this is you, you would have received a letter from the Australian government or Medicare informing you of your eligibility. To take advantage of this program, bring your letter and your Medicare card to Mills Road Dental and we’ll take care of the rest.

The CDBS means that you don’t pay for services or submit a claim form because each of your children is eligible for up to $1000 worth of basic dental services.
